With the US troops fully withdrawn from Baghdad, Joe Biden made a surprise visit to Baghdad, with the intention of meeting Iraqi leaders as well as US military commanders. On the other hand, he also mentioned that he will be planning an evening visit to the US embassy as well.
Biden mentioned that he is very optimistic with Iraq’s future, but he cautioned that the local government should gain political consensus in order to be victorious. Also, Biden says that he hopes to implement Barack Obama’s full US troop withdrawal from the country by 2012.
Personally, I feel that Biden really has the guts to visit Baghdad.
